Okay, so I finally caved and got a silk pillowcase, and I'm kinda mad I didn't do it sooner. I'd heard all the hype about them being good for your hair and skin, but I didn't really believe it until I tried one myself.
First off, it feels amazing. Like, seriously luxurious. It's so soft and smooth, it's like sleeping on a cloud. And I actually have noticed a difference in my hair. It's less frizzy and tangled in the morning, which is a huge win. I'm also hoping it'll help with wrinkles in the long run, but I guess I'll have to wait and see about that.
The only downside is that they can be a little pricey, and you have to be careful when you wash them. But honestly, I think it's worth it. If you're looking for a little extra pampering in your life, a silk pillowcase is definitely the way to go.

The envelope opening makes it so easy to slide the pillow in, even if it's a little fluffy you can squish and fit it in haha other than that it’s the softest material I’ve ever felt, definitely satin silky and cannot wait to be frizz free with hair protection in the morning :) also the color matches perfectly. I ordered the Ohmysilk Silk Pillow Case with Envelope Closure, 100% Mulberry Silk because I have used a Mulberry Silk cap to sleep in, and it really does make a big difference in how tangled my hair gets when sleeping, but it is also quite hot to sleep in, and this pillowcase's reviews consistently noted how it always felt cool, and let's face it, who doesn't turn over the pillow to get the 'cool side' in the summer?
It arrives in a lovely package, with a heavy presentation box that pulls out with a little silk like tab, wrapped in fine tissue paper, with a pretty seal sticker.
Of course it will be wrinkled upon opening, that's to be expected, (and honestly I personally don't care if my bedding is wrinkled, lol).
I accidentally chose King, when I have standard pillows to sleep on, and King pillows for my sides, and as you can see in the images, it is quite a bit larger than a standard pillow, but my two king pillows are a lot longer than it is. I think I I could smush up one of my king pillows to make it fit, or just leave it loose on the standard pillow. Or buy a pillow that is between the sizes. I don't know if pillows even come in a true 'king size', I guess I can research that. Either way, it's not a huge deal to me.
The material is certainly quite fine, the stitching is well done, the envelope closure is lovely, well hidden and unobtrusive once closed, and boy do I love a pillowcase with an envelope closure!
Since it is silk, you don't get those 'pillow face' lines you sometimes will get with regular pillowcases, as well as untangled hair, but if you aren't used to sleeping on silk, you might find it a bit slippery and take a few nights to get used to.
As for it being 100% 22 Momme 6A Grade Mulberry Silk, I have no idea. It feels like the Mulberry silk caps I have, and I have no reason to doubt this brand's claims, so I'm sure it is. If you look that up, it's a very exclusive silk - dense, smooth, long‑fiber, and typically produced in China, where mulberry sericulture originated. If you were wondering, Momme measures density and weight, sort of like 'thread count' for cotton sheets. The higher the number, the thicker and more luxurious it is. Typical silks will be around 16-18. And the 6A is the highest grading given to silk. (C, B, A, 1-6). Because it is OEKO‑TEX certified, we can be fairly certain this is what it says it is. The other notable difference is how cool the highest rating of silk is, and with how cool this pillow remains throughout the night, I'm sure that this is truly the finest silk crafted. Which makes this pillowcase more than worth the price.
As this is silk, I would absolutely recommend hand-washing, and air drying this, either by hanging it or putting it on a towel flat to dry. Although I suppose you could use a net delicates bag and make sure your washer is set to delicate. I would definitely not put this in a dryer.
I would recommend this, or give it as a luxury gift.
I love these satin pillows and the color is so vibrant... I bought in Forest Green and they are sooooo soft and comfortable. Reasonable priced and I plan on buying more in the future! I washed and still like new... very durable and awesome quality... Great buy for awesome comfort!

Mulberry Silk comes primarily from silkworms in China who eat white mulberry leaves, leaving a cocoon of spun silk that is used to weave fabric. With so many cheaper versions of mulberry silk, how do I know if this is the real deal? Well, I really do not know if this pillow fabric is 100% silkworm derived. It is not forest green naturally so there had to be some level of dye added and that colorant is not listed. So, while I cannot confirm the fabric content, I can share how the pillow feels and functions.
I have had silk and satin pillows and went back to cotton because organic cotton simply felt better on my face while sleeping. This pillow case is not like other silks, satin, or cotton.
The fabric is smooth and soft - it's like sleeping on butter. I woke up this morning with less hair tangle and my face felt cuddled. I washed the pillow case before using it for the first time and the photo of this pillow case on my pillow (next to a red pillow) shows you how this pillow case looks right after being washed and fitted to a king sized pillow.
The only downside to this pillow case is extra care is needed with washing and drying. I washed the pillow case in a mesh bag in cold water and let it hang dry. It's probably not ideal fabric if you have oily skin or go to sleep with makeup because you cannot use harsh detergents to wash this pillow case and you cannot use fabric softener. I tend to wash the rest of my bedding on high heat and dry at high heat to reduce dust mites and other tiny creatures we cannot see on fabric.
The envelope closure is good quality and easy to use - at this price point I would have expected a little better design to hide the opening, but it stays secure and the pillow doesn't slip out. The value of this pillow case seems to be fair for a high end product and it makes a nice gift. I don't know anyone who doesn't appreciate buttery soft fabric. There are a ton of pillow cases that claim to be mulberry silk at a fraction of the cost of this pillow case - it's just so hard to know what is authentic and what is not so i can only speak to the fact that this pillow case feels good on my face and doesn't leave me with tangled hair.

These are very pretty and def silky. They are cool to the touch while sleeping and my skin and hair thank me! The envelope closure keeps everything IN and I love it. No hard zipper piece to poke you (or your partner) in the night. It is a nice product and I will definitely buy another one with this same envelope closure.

Looking for an inexpensive pillowcase to add some Christmas colors to my bed ensemble and these did the trick. Quality is fine for under $60, fabric is silky and smooth,not too thin and the forest green is a nice deep color and not "orangy". They do have some wrinkling straight out of the dryer but not so much I felt the need to iron them.The sizing is perfect and the envelope style closure gives a nice finished look.Perfect for the holidays!

Very good quality. Have been using 2 months for home and travel. Washing on delicate cycle with woolite type detergent, and drying as directed, and is still excellent.Ordered the forest green so wouldn’t accidentally leave it in hotel room. Also ordered 22ml which I thought was heavier weight than I wanted so am sticking with this.Also feels great on my skin.
This pillowcase is SO soft and SO comfortable, but it is also SO expensive. I had the choice of other options, but chose Ohmysilk because of previous experience with the brand. It really is a wonderful pillowcase, but the brand is not affordable enough for me to replace all my pillows! I like the envelope closure on this ohmysilk pillowcase more than the fold closure on my other silk pillowcase.
I've been using these pure silk pillowcases for about 9-10 months and I like them quite a bit. They are a bit long for my king size pillow, but are very comfortable on my face and ears (side-sleeper), and have held up well.
I find them to be cool in the summer and warm in winter. They are always wrinkled, but that doesn't bother me at all. Instead of hand-washing, I've started washing them in a mesh bag in the washing machine, and I hang them to dry on the indoor clothesline. So far I have not noticed any problem with this.
The forest green color is very pretty, and looks good with my quilt and other bedding. If/when these wear out, I would happily buy more, so I hope they are available for a long time. I bought them for myself, but they do come nicely packaged for gift-giving.
