How to Care

Caring for Your Silk

Pure Mulberry silk is a natural protein fiber — treat it gently and it will stay smooth, lustrous, and skin-friendly for years.

How Often to Wash: We recommend washing pillowcases and sleep masks that touch your skin every 10–14 days.

Sort & Bag

Separate silk from jeans, jackets, or anything with metal zippers. Place inside a mesh laundry bag and zip it fully shut.

Gentle Wash

Use a pH-neutral silk detergent on a delicate/cold cycle. Hand wash is fine too — gently press, never rub or wring.

Air Dry

Lay flat or hang indoors away from direct sunlight. Never tumble dry — high heat is silk's ultimate enemy.

Avoid

No bleach, no alkaline detergents, no hot water. Keep pet nails trimmed — silk snags easily.

Pro Tip from the Experts

Caught without delicate detergent? Don't panic! You can use a few drops of your daily hair shampoo instead. Pure Mulberry silk is a natural protein fiber with a molecular structure almost identical to human hair — making mild shampoo an excellent, pH-neutral alternative that gently cleanses without harming the fabric.

However, never use body wash or regular laundry detergents. Body washes and standard detergents are highly alkaline, which will strip away silk's natural proteins, destroy its signature luster, and weaken the fibers over time.
